Before coming to Germany, Paul and Mechthild planted an Assembly of God church in Freeland, Michigan. The Clarks have planted churches as well as assisted others to plant churches in the following German cities: Saarbrucken, St. Wendel, Neuwied, Merzig, Erfurt, Trier, and Bad Dürkheim. Many lives have been touched and changed by the power of God as these churches continue to fulfill the Great Commission.
Paul was also instrumental in initiating the two BFP (AG partner church in Germany) State Districts of Rhineland Palatinate / Saarland and Thuringia.
Paul serves as Team Leader for 40 Assemblies of God missionaries and missionary associates ministering in Germany.
Presently the Clarks live in Lindau, Germany and have recently completed planting the Bregenz church, located 5 miles across the German border in Austria. Presently they are now planting the only Pentecostal church in the country of Liechtenstein.
Paul and Mechthild are actively involved in teaching ministry as well as assisting and coaching other churches being planted in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Paul initiated and administers a web platform which provides resources and inspiration for German speaking pastors throughout Europe. Twice a year Paul hosts a leadership forum for pastors and church workers.
Paul also has developed and administers a website designed specifically for missionaries working in Germany. www.pmgermany.com.
Paul is author of the book: German Pentecostal Church Planting 1945–2005: Implications for Intentional Mission in the Twenty-First Century. This book is the result of Paul’s doctoral project at the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary located in Springfield, Missouri.
